Timber is at the heart of David Linton’s work, a passion that that has found its home in Maleny. The township is steeped in the traditions of early settlers logging the vast dense forests covering the Blackall Range. Today David enjoys a more ecological approach, respectfully gathering and salvaging timber locally and Australia wide, to build an enviable collection of logs containing vast quantities of beautiful material for processing or furniture making. A selection of this dressed timber, smaller pieces of different species for hobbyists, and samples of finished flooring and decking are on display at the 14 Maple St Gallery.

If you are building or renovating a timber home, adding a deck, building a bar or benchtop or creating a unique feature, a wide range of timber is available for processing to order. David’s fully equipped workshop includes specialised milling machinery and kiln drying facilities for processing logs into large dressed slabs, T&G Flooring, posts, decking, VJ boards and other architectural timber products.
