Timber is at the heart of David Linton’s work, a passion that has found its home in Maleny. The township is steeped in the traditions of early settlers logging the vast dense forests covering the Blackall Range. Today David enjoys a more ecological approach, respectfully gathering and salvaging timber locally and Australia wide, to build an enviable collection of logs containing vast quantities of beautiful material for processing or furniture making. A selection of this dressed timber and smaller pieces of different species for hobbyists, are on display at the 14 Maple St Gallery.
